APRIL 2017 Indian sandalwood seed is becoming ripe at the GP Forestry plantation in the South West of Australia. Indian sandalwood trees produce one of the most valuable timbers in the world. The aromatic timber is used in incense sticks, carving and religious offerings. The oil extracted from the wood is a common component of high end cosmetics and perfumes.
